Ohio University

At a Campus Crusade for Christ retreat in spring of 2009, a group of Ohio University students decided to form a community to respond to intellectual attacks on the Christian faith. The resulting group, Christian Engineers and Scientists, discusses topics related to apologetics at weekly meetings. Past studies have covered the material presented in The Case for Faith, The Truth Project, The Case for a Creator, On Guard, and Expelled. In fall of 2009, Christian Engineers and Scientists hosted a guest lecture by David Berlinski, world-renowned mathematician, philosopher, and skeptic; more than 200 people attended. The leaders of CES joined forces with Ratio Christi in fall of 2010, hoping to gain additional assistance in carrying out our vision of teaching Christians how to defend the faith. In winter of 2011, the OSU and OU chapters of Ratio Christi co-sponsored Frank Turek's visit to their campuses, where he presented the lecture, "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist."
